Abstract The present paper takes on the question of whether doctrine unjust enrichment is compatible with libertarianism. Despite Walter Block’s recent arguments to contrary, argues that unless a gain received in accordance libertarian principles justice, it without basis and thus unjust. This fact alone proves concept Besides, even though true — as Block claims forcing recipient an return or pay for involves positive duties therefore incompatible libertarianism, practical consequences this would be negligible, compensatory schemes develop free market anyway justice-preserving steps.
